Asalam U Alikum. Hope you all will be great. This Library is meant for pure learning if you are goal oriented , a beautiful environment it provides to every of its student. It provides you a canteen , masjid , washrooms and huge lawn for refreshments or sunbath and a plenty of cars and motorbike parking. You'll find most of your favorite books right here (Every Subject) because of its huge capacity (5 lakh).

It's a Provisional Directorate of Archives and Libraries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa located in Peshawar.

It's a Provisional Directorate of Archives and Libraries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa located in Peshawar. It's an attached department of Higher Education Archives and Libraries, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It has now about 16 public Libraries working in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are about 150,000 books on different subjects. Before Pakistan creation, in 1946, it was a separate Directorate called Central Record Office, setup in the Victoria Memorial Hall NWFP, (Now called Peshawar Museum )on the recommendation of Indian Historical and Record Commission. Then, after Pakistan creation, the office remained in the Victoria Memorial Hall till 1973, then shifted to Divisional Council Hall, Shahi Bagh, Peshawar. In 1985, Directorate of Archives and Libraries was shifted to Benevolent Fund building till 1992.then in 1992, a separate building in front of Civil Secretariat was constructed.

The biggest library probably of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The library has huge beautiful building with different section, branches like Islamic Section, urdu literature, English literature, pashto literature, hindko literature, Persian and all major languages including English, pashto, hindko books are available. A huge and rich resources in the reference section is there which could be utilized by university, college students, academicians and the general public. Research scientists, students alike could avail the opportunities of researching, references from the resources that are available here. There are alot of books available on almost every genre and topic of interest for students. The library has subscription nominal fee of three hundred after which the books could be issued to public members two at a time for a period of fifteen days. This library is a must visit for the lover of books. Those books that could not be find on new and old book shops or other libraries might be there. Library also encompasses huge collection of old books before Independence.
