Driving License Office – Clifton karachi

Dont need to give money to any one as all process is fully computerised so even if u give money to agent they wont be much help. New head of clifton licence branch is quite good and seem to be honest

It took hardly 20 minutes to complete the process for license renewal of my daughter at Clifton. The traffic police staff were very cooperative from main gate to last counter, every counter is computerised and also medical took no time.Tabdily agai hai, if every department of the government try and put similar effort then public will appreciate, hats off!

I went there around April or May 2017. Although I got the license renewed in one day but owing to infrastructure the experience was terrible. In Karachi it is very hot weather at that time. No decent arrangement for seating because there was a rush of people. The waiting area was so congested & hot that I was surprised that there were no faintings from heat exhaustion! If one year's earnings of this office are spent on the this office, a wonderful, air conditioned plaza can be erected here which will serve for people's comforts for at least coming 25 years. I think this office should have: 2 plazas, one for parking, one for offices, public washrooms, a strip of green belt & a ground for test driving.

Simply Amazing !!! Excellent team of Traffic Police managing and working extremely professionally through the entire process for license issuance and related matters. No fuss, no mess, no worries for public at all. Even better service and attention than one can expect from private bank branch. Exemplary, indeed. It was an awesome experience throughout all stages where men in uniform courteously guided the applicants, dealt with the unruly crowd with care and treated every one with utmost respect. Hats off to the leadership and team on this great achievement. By all means this department is now world class. Always wished to see Pakistan changing positively and here is a live example.

It has come a long way. It's more organized now with updated system. However, for new licenses you still need to go through the mandatory eye sight test, data entry, picture, theory test and quick driving test. Tip: get the 100 questions leaflet a day or two before. Learn it then go for queuing up since they will take your theory test on the spot.

Just received my Driving Licence today morning within 72 hours of passing the tests. Contrary to what rumours may have spread, I found the Driving Licence Section - Clifton of Sindh Traffic Police to be one of the most transparent, courteous, educative, and guiding departments in the Police Force! Bravo and Kudos to Sindh Police, for having such a department, and a special note to officers like officer Khalid in the lecture room, who gave us a detailed briefing before the theory tests, and a complete scenario of what to expect, before the practical driving test! Thank you also to the IT Department, for having developed an online pre-booking appointment section on their website, and a very informative App, that is not only indicative of all application and violation charges, but also provides online verification of the authenticity of all licences. This place has improved a lot. The new system is excellent. There are different ques for different tasks. First you have to fill a form and then your photo is taken. There is a separate que for payment of fees in the bank. Finally your particulars are checked and you are given a token number. Your driving license is delivered to your address in three four days.

Parking is an issue. Complete road is marked with no parking signs. Where do the visitors park their cars? Administration needs to answer. Pre appointment through the website seems just a show off. The alloted time has no sequence there. Staff started work after 10am. The process also needs improvement by offering one window operation instead of repeatedly standing in different ques. Overall experience was not that bad. It took less than an hour to get learner permit.
