I was extremely disappointed and frustrated when I did my PCR (Covid test) prior to my return to Qatar. The staff is unprofessional, and they have no idea what tests are required before to flight, as stated by the airline. They follow their own procedures rather than the airline's requirements. I needed a PCR test before flying on Qatar Airways to Doha, so I went to their Aisha Manzil branch. Tehreem, a member of the staff, never confirmed whether I was vaccinated or not, or whether I was vaccinated in Qatar or Pakistan. She overcharged me and informed me that in addition to the PCR test, I needed to do an antibody test (post vaccination). Which was not a requirement for Qatar Airways because I am a Qatari resident who is fully vaccinated (Pfizer). When I told her that only the PCR test was required by Qatar Airways, she insisted that the antibody test be done as well. When I told her that only the PCR test was required, (It was not required for those who were vaccinated with Pfizer in Qatar), she insisted that the airline also required an antibody test, which she made me pay for and for which they collected a blood sample. When I went to pick up my reports the next day, I informed them that she had forced me to pay and conduct an antibody test that was unnecessary. She and two other members of staff kept refusing, claiming that I had agreed to do so. When I sought to speak with a supervisor or manager, they asked me to wait 15 minutes before telling me that the supervisor was unavailable due to the fact that it was Sunday. While they asked me to wait, they pretended to be busy by talking on the phone with someone and were telling the person on the phone about me. After waiting for long time, When I inquired who would deal with my problem again, a male receptionist told me that they couldn't do anything and that the supervisor was also not available. (In the meantime, Staff Tehreem had left.) They deceived me and played me for a fool. I'm never going back to Essa Laboratory. My personal experience has been really terrible. I can't find their website or any other place where I can file a complaint and get my money back for an unneeded test that they made me pay for. Qatar Airways does not require this, I have confirmed with Qatar Airways staff at the airport and they even did not look at antibody test and checked only PCR test negative report before my travel. Poor service. 😡
RIP SOPs & RIP the safety & hygiene protocols for COVID!!!! Went to get my PCR done today & Social Distancing, what? No temperature check at the entrance. People standing shoulder to shoulder at the counter. Main Reception Staff with their masks worn improper. COVID Testing Area, all open merged with thegeneral testing staff & patients, no sign of PPE on the medical staff. Tightly packed waiting area. The same person sitting at the Cashier Counter doing PCR in an under construction room where the mattress foam particles are floating in the air. And then we are worried that the residents are not taking precautions or following SOPs, what example are you guys setting being such a renowned name in the field? Highly disappointed & extremely worried that if people coming to your lab all fine & taking the Virus back home upon return.
Very small waiting Area.. Shortage of staff
It's good
