I went to Cowasjee Jehangir institute of Psychiatry which is famously known as Giddu Bandar, back in 2015 on a field trip with my University fellows and faculty. As a psychologist, the place fascinated me and deepened my interést in human psyche. But on the other hand, I imagined myself living here as a patient and that really moved me , in that, my heart went out to all those who live there. Even now when I look back and think about the trip, ward 5 send shivers down my spine as it housed the most violent of patients, who were kept in jail like cells so as to prevent them from harming other fellow patients.
