Review

We bought our tickets to Maldives from airclub. We were a party of 7. 2 seniors, one child and 3 adults. We got the tickets through Etihad. As per our agent suggestions. On the way back from Maldives we had a almost 16 hour layover at Abu Dhabi. He convinced us that we will get a 4 star hotel accommodations outside of the airport. We will get the pickup and drop of ofcourse and breakfast in the morning. We asked him multiple times that are u sure they will let us leave the airport since we have Pakistani passports. He said so convincingly that yes u will get a transit visa right there no problem. We said ok and bought the tickets. Well, the journey going to the Maldives went ok. But till the last minute our agent would not give us any details about our hotel in Abu Dhabi. We kept asking him. Few hours before our flight back he calls us and tell us that you will not be able to get out the airport since your layover is not long enough, but you will get a nice hotel at the airport. Don’t worry!!. You will get a very nice hotel. I told him we have a child and elderly people with us, we don’t want any hassles. He said oh no! It will be great. U will get a great hotel at the airport. We get to Adu Dhabi late at night. Turns out they don’t give any hotel for u to stay. They give like bunk beds room ( nap room) and no bathroom near by. We had to walk 10 minutes to get to the bathroom. It was a major hassle for us since we have a 4 year old and 2 elderly people who could not walk much. We ended up having to buy accommodation for our elderly aunt and uncle at different hotel at the airport which is not affiliated with Etihad. And then we told him about it. Ofcourse he was sorry. He said that he will give us return ticket to islamabad - Karachi to compensate for our problems and misinformation that he gave us. Well, he does not pick up the phone or answer to any or our messages. Well now he does not even answer our calls anymore. The lesson learned is watch out when travel agents tell you .... jee sub aap ka ho jaye gaa... aapko koi problem nahi hogi.... chances are they are lying to you to sell you tickets. But they don’t understand that they made quick money now by lying now but he lost a life time of business for us. We would never recommend him to any one we know.
