Akbari sarai is so beautiful and spread in a large area with so many rooms with 3 main doors and one masjid. 2 doors are used for enterance and exit the sarai, 1 door is entrance the jahangir tomb and a small door is entrance the Asif khan tomb. Central area of sarai divided into 4 small lawns like charbahar garden. A big and beautiful mosque also build in this sarai but most part of this mosque collapsed but still use for the prayers.

The roads leading to Akbari Serai are very crowded. The interior is nice and clean. I am surprised to see very less visitors. Govt. should take care of these historic places. no proper parking space.

If we translate Akbari Sarai in English we come to know that it is actually “Akbar’s Place”.It was built for travelers and the guests of Jahangir tomb. It is a good tourist attraction due to its beautiful and attractive architecture. This structure is in quad shape. There are several towers in the corners of the sarai. Huge gateways are there as well with the most beautifully embellished designs.

A spacious place, lush green lawns and full of trees. A soothing airy place . A walk down history for sure.
