A well manager airport to take all destination flights. I have been visited Dubai and Saudi Arabia through this airport. The service is good and the staff is friendly. Though there is a cleanliness issue in the airport building but still it is much better than many airports of Pakistan.

Allama Iqbal is the third largest civil airport by traffic in Pakistan, serving Lahore, the capital of Punjab province as well a large portion of the travellers from the Punjab province. Originally known as Lahore International Airport, it was renamed after Allama Iqbal, one of the pioneers that led to the creation of Pakistan. The airport currently has three terminals: the Allama Iqbal terminal, the Hajj terminal and a cargo terminal. The airport is located about 15 km from the centre of the city. A total of 4,724,694 passengers travelled through Allama Iqbal International Airport in 2016 making it the second busiest airport in Pakistan after Karachi and Islamabad.Allama Iqbal International Airport was ranked the world's leading airport by Singapore Airlines in service performance in 2006.It also handles most of the passengers from the nearby small cities and rural areas surrounding lahore city.Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has planned the expansion of terminal building and number of hangers will be increased from 7 to 22. This will increase the annual passenger capacity of Lahore Airport from 6 million to 20 million.

Sometimes one has to rush here like a Cheetah or a Leopard. Be safe. Have a lots of memories from here. And it's safe. Yes.

Allama Iqbal Int'l Airport looks out dated unfortunately. AIIA needs latest facilities, state of art infrastructure, additional scanning machines, world class restaurants, check in- and immigration counters and better facilities to perform prayers. Unnecessarily overcrowded at the departures and arrivals. It doesn't make sense to scan baggage at the arrivals exit gate. It is waste of time, stressful and very unprofessional staff operating these scanners. The immigration staff should act more professionally, friendly and respectfully to all passengers. They should also ensure discipline and professionalism.
