Baltistan Surgical Complex is the first private hospital in Baltistan region which is well equipped with all medical and surgical resources. It was established some eight years ago by Haji Mohammad Ali a retired Dispenser, partnership with Dr Niaz Ali (Eye Specialist). It provides surgical facilities to the patients at very reasonable cost by keeping in the view the backwardness of the area. Baltistan is a very backward area where govt. health sector needs to work hard. In past people used to go to Islamabad when it used to be matter of critical surgeries as the local govt hospitals still can not fulfill the needs of the patients. All lab test used to be sent to other cities by air or by routes which would take months to receive the results. After the services of this hospital, people feel relaxed as this hospital is truly a ray of hope for them. Now, the current competitive situation has brought numerous stake holders to the region who are running their private hospitals.
