It is an old central market of the University of Peshawar situated near historic Islamia College (Islamia College is also upgraded as University). Coffee shop market has no coffee shop in it. There was a large tea & coffee shop in the past on the main road of the market which was closed about thirty five year ago. It is mainly to facilitate students and rsidents of the University and has stationary & books shops, Habib bank branch, shops of photographer, barber, fast food, medicine, milk, fruit, general stores, dry cleaner, electric shops, shoe maker shops, tailors, photocopying and binding, computer and mobile phone accessories, etc.
