COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Muhammad Ali Jinnah Campus, Lahore was established in January 2002. It is located at Defence Road off Raiwind Road Lahore. The campus is at 25 minutes drive from the main city. This sprawling campus is purpose built and spreads over 185 acres with a 400,000 sq. ft covered area. During a short span of time, the continuous and concerted efforts of the dedicated faculty, administration, and staff have developed this campus for its symbolic academic excellence which forms strong foundations for a bright career for its alumni. The campus has gone through a multidimensional growth in terms of number of study programmes, number of students, number of faculty and number of new academic blocks. Lahore campus of CIIT has every feature that a modern times university can boast of such as a quiet peaceful atmosphere, splendid red bricks structure, lush green lawns, a captivating landscape, well maintained playgrounds and courts, and a vast expense of flora. All this has a soothing effect on the souls busy in the quest of knowledge seething and surging in the classrooms, library, and labs. The working environment at the campus is vibrant, creative, and challenging, both for the teachers and the students. The campus tends to excel in its research capability, which will open new horizons of knowledge in Science and Technology. In a city of learning like Lahore, the campus caters for the ever-increasing demands of students in the fields of Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Psychology, and Management Science. The campus has six academic blocks with classrooms having up to date facilities such as multimedia projectors, internet connectivity, and air conditioners. The campus is equipped with the state-of-the-art computers, electronics, chemical, and physics labs. In addition to above, the campus has one administration block, five workshops, a mosque, boys and girls hostel, students services center, health center, transport section, and a number of residential units for the employees.
