DHA Suffa University (DSU), established in the year 2012, has systematically taken giant strides to become the institution of choice in Pakistan. The university offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in Engineering, Computer Sciences and Management Sciences. From the expansion of infrastructure to the development of technology, revamp of curricula to formation of pedagogy, addition of foreign qualified faculty to introduction of new programs, DSU has been committed to providing well-equipped engineers, computer scientists, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders to the world. Recognition and Approvals DSU was recognized as a private sector degree awarding institution by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) in the year 2012. In its very first participation in the annual ranking process of HEC for the year 2014, DSU achieved the impressive ranking of 31 in the category of General Universities. The BE (Mechanical) and BE (Electrical) programs of DSU have been approved by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). The BS (Computer Sciences) program conforms to the standards of National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC). The BBA and MBA programs conform to the standards of National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC). The university has been inspected and evaluated by the Government of Sindh’s Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) twice in the last four years. On both the occasions, the CIEC was pleased to see the rapid growth of the university and the high standards of education being maintained. Scholarships and Fee Concessions DSU is an equal opportunity institution with merit being the sole criteria for admission. It ensures that no student, qualifying for admission, is denied high quality education due to his/her inability to bear the costs. In order to fulfill this commitment, the university offers the following facilities for the benefit of students, complying strictly with the prescribed rules, regulations and procedures: a. Merit Scholarships: Students securing first/second/third position in the Intermediate Board Examinations get a Merit Scholarship up to 90% in the first semester. From second semester onwards, academically outstanding students are given Merit Scholarship of varying amount based on the results of the preceding semester. b. Need Based Scholarships: Students with financial constraints may apply on the prescribed form within first 2 weeks after the start of every semester. Based on the need vis-à-vis the financial strength of the parents, the students get a scholarship from 10% to 90%. c. Interest Free Loan from Ihsan Trust: Students with financial constraints may apply on the prescribed form for an interest free loan of varying amount within first 2 weeks after the start of every semester. d. Payment of Tuition Fee/Charges in Installments:Students facing difficulties in paying the Tuition Fee/Charges in lump sum may apply to pay it in 2-3 installments on the prescribed form. e. Fee Concession for the Employees of DHA and DSU: A concession of 50% in Tuition Fee is given to all regular employees of DHA and DSU for themselves, their spouses and their dependent children subject to the condition that they achieve a GPA of 2.0 or above in the semester. Applications for Scholarships and Fee Concessions are processed by the Scholarships Award Committee.

The faculty here is pretty awesome and highly qualified. DSU is doing wonders in Local competitions and making a name as well in international competitions. During my time as a student there were issues as the University was in its early years but now these issues have pretty much ended. This university has a great state of the art cafeteria. The labs of ME and EE are also state of the art and the equipment is new. The student per equipment ratio is pretty high but is not that big of a deal. The sports activities are also quite alot since a Sports Society is active for well over 1 year. And it's my personal opinion that if you join the ME department you wont regret it as you will have excellent opportunities through the out the 4 years.

Purpose-built campus with proper buildings for each department. Lacks sports facility.
