I love this college and my rating for this college is based on my love. I have studied my pre-engineering subjects here. It was a very tough time for me to obtain good grading in the examination of FBISE Islamabad. There was no concept of use of any unfair means in 1988. Hence, it was only I who was able to obtain passing marks in all subjects in first year out of about 200 candidates. We were five who passed second year and I got second position in the college which was shared by Mr. Imtiaz who was one of my class fellows (now a famous architect at London, UK). On the basis of this result I was offered admission in chemical engineering discipline in Dawood University (then college) of Engineering & Technology, MA Jinnah Road, Karachi. My son, Mr. Waqar Ali (now a student of mechanical engineering at Air University, Islamabad) has rightly rated my FG Degree College, Skardu.

FG Degree College, Skardu Road, Skardu is the oldest public sector college in Baltistan. It was housed in a nearby building at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, Skardu prior to construction of its own buildings. Its buildings and boundary walls enclose a large area consisting of large and spacious class rooms, offices, staff rooms, auditorium, assembly hall, laboratories, students hall, examination hall, hostels, play grounds, residences for faculty and staff, etc. It was inaugurated by late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, then prime minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
