Review

This is the only women's university in Sialkot district and before that it was a degree college. Its a prestigious institute of Sialkot. The college building was upgraded when it was given status of a university. The university is the largest university of Sialkot.

Its old name was Degree College for Women before 2012 when it was upgraded as a university and named Government College Women University. Its first ever women university in Sialkot district. It is renowned for its quality education. There is a girls hostels inside the premises of university. Female students coming from far areas have facility to live here permanently during their education period. It covers a large area including buildings, lawn and playground. Male staff works in the office area only. Transportation from various areas of the district is available. People trust this institution for the better education for their girls. Parking is a problem here. Parents have to stay far away on Jail Road to drop and pick their daughters.
