Beautiful place, great rest point after a magnificent hike in lovely mountain passes. The name of this Bangla is Sattohan Forest Bangla and is known as Sattu Bangla. Dont get confused with wrong placemark on the google maps.

Sattuhan Forest Bangla, also known as Sattu Bangla is a forest rest house located in the beautiful hills of Abbottabad Thandiani region. Sattu Bungalow is a wooden bungalow built during the British period which is located at an altitude of 7,822 feet above sea level. During the British rule, the British built very beautiful wooden bungalows at a distance of 8 km from Khanspur Ayubia to Attar Shisha Mansehra and then to Kiwai Paras and Kagan. During the British rule, a horse track was also constructed from Khanspur Ayubia to Kagan which is still in existence.

The local name for this Forest House is Sattoo Bungalow (ستَو بنگلہ) I've visited this beautiful place several times with my friends. This picture is of stable right behind the bungalow.

Great hike Beautiful views Sattu Bangla is well preserved and is still used by Forest Department. Unlike Dagri Bangla, its walls and roof are completely in place. There is a watchman and his family live next to it. You can hike upto it from Mera Rehmat Khan, Riyala or Terhardi. Hike is shorter but tedious from later two points. There is no water available so you will have to request watchman for water or carry your water with you. Riyala and Terhardi end up in Qalanderabad whereas Mera Rehmat Khan’s route goes to Abbotabad.

It was a very nice experience especially hiking trail. We started our hike from village dehri sehri. It took us about three (03) hours to reach at sattu Bangla from village dehri sehri by hiking. Building resembles with Dagri Bangla. We return back after about 2 and half hours. There was also spring on our way. Further, there were a lot of pigs on the trail. Trail was rarely used by the travellers. The place is located on the way to thandiani through Abbottabad.
