Hotel Noor Palace Kalam

Stayed here during mid January. This being the off season, rates are heavily discounted. During our stay there was no running water as it freezes and causes burst pipes. However we were provided with both hot and cold water in buckets. The hotel is comfortable and heating is provided.

Hotel noor palace is one of the hotel which you can stay in winters also.. because usually 80% hotels close in winters.. But no doubt this is the best place among all these hotels in winters.. people here are very nice kind and soft.. and service and food is really best.. strongly recommendation for that hotel if you wanna stay in kalam in winters.. Mr faqeera was the manager last year here. About kalam Kalam is 100 kilometres (62 mi) from Mingora and 29 kilometres (18 mi) from Behrain, Pakistan about 2,000 metres (6,800 feet) above sea level. It was the centre of an independent state in the 19th century. Later it was taken by Chitral, then given to Swat after Partition in 1947. The valley opens out into a small but fertile plateau on the bank of the river. In Kalam the Ushu and Utrot rivers join the Swat river. Here, the metalled road ends and shingle road leads to the Usho and Utror valleys. From Matiltan, visitors get a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Mount Falaksir 5918 metres (19,415 ft.), and another unnamed peak 6096 metres (20,000 ft.) high.

Very Cooperative butlers even in full Snow Season.. Gyser is need to be installed only..remaining everything is OK!!

I gave three Star to Kalam palace hotel only in terms of rent as it was very economical but in terms of facilities, services and hygiene I would not even give One Star as the rooms were so stinky, with no proper ventilation or exhaust system, washrooms were in very Bad condition, rooms cleanliness was very poor, and yes, last but not the least, despite there assurances there was issue of Hot water in the morning. Never to be recommended to families.
