Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was raised in 1966 for the construction of Karakoram Highway. one of the largest firms in Pakistan today specialized in numerous fields of civil engineering. the Organization has successfully undertaken construction projects in Kuwait, Afghanistan, Liberia and UAE As a development organization, FWO has completed numerous mega projects in challenging environments such as Gomal Zam Dam, CPEC road network in southern Balochistan, Central Trade Corridor linking with Afghanistan, various motorways, roads in the treacherous terrain of Gilgit Baltistan and tunnels on Swat Motorway. It constructed and operationalized Kartarpur Corridor project in ten months duration; work on various other major infrastructure development projects is currently underway both in Pakistan as well as UAE.
