Iris Hotel & Resorts sahiwal

Iris Hotel is located at prime location in the heart of Sahiwal city. Its grand exterior, spacious parking, big halls make it an attraction for corporate sector meetings and gatherings. Rooms are spacious. Staff is well behaved. Overall, it is an ideal accommodation for a division level city.

South Punjab still needs a lot of attention by the federal and provincial governments. Here are not too many luxury or 2-star, 3-stars or 4-star places. But if you are going at Highway or Lahore-Multan road, and planning to stay at one of the cool & luxury places, Iris Hotel & Resort is your one stop solution. From business clause meeting to candle light dinner date, you can enjoy any moments you want to.

On our way, we had to stay overnight and we decided to stay in Sahiwal. The internet search led to this hotel. From the appearance the hotel is good. However, the hotel needs improvements in cleanliness and service quality. Staff is underpaid and expect tips from the guests. Even guards expect tips at the gate. I wish if there are some other good family hotels in Sahiwal? Any way we stayed for a night and checked out in the morning. I do not recommend staying in this hotel for more than a night.

Great ambience. Spacious and clean rooms. Food from dawat restaurant within the hotel is good. Breakfast is complimentary.

It's pricey when you consider its location. The ground floor is good, however; 1- most of the rooms do not have a bed side lamp. The soft light of the bedside lamp doesn't disturb the sleep and is helpful if one has to wake up at night. 2- Not many electricity outlets or plug options. It's better if you have your own universal plug and extension cord if you plan on using laptop or want to charge your phone. 3- The LCD in some of the rooms are very old with damaged screens which do not show complete screen when viewing (probably second hand and repaired) 4- If you are in the top floor, you will not find glasses or cups in your room. Since,normally this hotel is used by people on work related assignments in nearby coal power plant, I would advise them to bring a drinking mug with them. 5- like I said before all rooms are not equal, the rooms on ground floor have good cleanliness and facilities with good bedding and pillows. However, in the upper floors you will have trouble finding these things. The pillows for one, are bad. 6- Same goes for toiletries, I assume that the owner or top management issues the same set of toiletries for all rooms but, maybe the staff misappropriates (steals) some of them. Because, they are not replenished and most of the time miss many items. However, I found some very good things; 1- One 1.5 liter water bottle everyday is included in the rent. 2- One fruit basket of 4-5 fruits (one apple, one orange, 2 bananas and one Pear) is also given everyday included in the rent. 3- Hot water, at least in the ground floor all time (though not available on top floor) 4- Good desk staff; polite, smiling and helpful.

Not sure where to start on this shabby place where i stayed for just 2 nights. Some of the highlights below. 1. Checkin staff was extremely rude and seems unhappy with his job. 2. Bad Service: extremely bad service and something you have to find with microscope. 3. I took one of their high end rooms. When you enter, it’s a massive huge room and 75 % of the room is empty. And things are anywhere and everywhere. Like a kid did the decoration. Rooms have very basic white lights. Majority of the room is dark. Overall it’s not a comfortable room and not welcoming at all. Bedsheet was dirty and they had a really ugly looking dirty blanket by foot area. 4. No windows: YES, no window in room at all. There are thick glass panels placed which barely will let you see any light come in even in day time. 5. No side lamps by the bed. 6. No electric outlets for phone charging. Just one. 7. Used bathroom slippers: they put just 1 bath robe and bath slipper which were already used. 8. Toiletries like shampoo soap etc were the worst ones I have ever seen. 9. Hot water takes really long time to appear. And goes away really fast. 10. people were smoking inside reception area. 11. Big Meetings groups were probably the owner side in lobby. 12. Most of all, They charged me 15,000 per night. And to be honest this place worth no more than Rs 2500 per night for high end room. Would not go there again
