JS Bank is a scheduled commercial bank that is one of the top 5 ranking banks in Pakistan. It is a major subsidiary of the Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd., an eminent Pakistani financial investment company. The JS bank started functioning in 2007 by acquiring the operations of the American Express Bank’s branches in Pakistan. To date, the bank has progressed from 4 branches and approx. 150 employees to 323 branches in 161 cities in Pakistan, employing more than 5000 in its workforce. It also has an international branch in Manama, Bahrain that was inaugurated in 2015. The headquarters of the JS bank is located in Karachi, where Mr. Basir Shamsie operates as the current President and the CEO of the JS Bank.

The services of the JS bank are divided into five business sections, including Treasury, Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, and Investment Banking. Other services include Consumer Banking, Finance and Insurance, Loans and Financial Products, and Asset Management.

In terms of financial progress, the respectively aggregated profits from JS Bank’s 2018 Q2 financial report have been amounted up to about 1.1 billion PKR, while the deposits totaled to 310.9 million PKR. The bank is also a notable financial member of the State Bank of Pakistan.
