I haven't been inside the Khursheed Begum Park in quite a while but I remember it well from my childhood. There's a sand playground area, a lawn area with benches and a jogging track. Much of the park is ringed by hedges and tall trees. In the afternoon itinerant sellers set up their food carts outside the park enterance, selling chickpeas (Chana) or shelled maize (Makai) roasted in salt or roasted corn on the cob (Bhutta). Some years ago the park had also acquired a bad reputation as a place where young men & teenagers would come to watch, flirt with or harass fashionable young women who came to jog there. It was also said that it was a place where teenagers would sneak off to & meet each other on clandestine "dates". I believe that this is no longer true. Note: The park is named after ‘Khursheed Begum al-Qadiriyyah (as per her gravestone), the mother of (MQM founder) Altaf Hussain.

Not a really good park because it's not clean and the play area for kids is rusted,the guard doesn't allow anything to play here(football/cricket) and the grass hasn't improved since many months...
