One of the last cinemas of Lahore to show porno movies. Tickets were sold at double price. There wasn't even a single seat vacant inside and the audience had to stand alongside the walls. The show started with movie trailers and the main show. Ten minutes in to the movie they started with a couple of B grade Pashto songs and then some English movie porno clips. After the interval there were around 20 to 30 people watching the regular movie. (My friend told me all this.) Due to the VCR and CD era the cinema lost it's audience. The cinema was renovated and the name was changed to Imperial Cinema. They tried to show regular clean movies but failed due to it's bad reputation. Now this historic cinema has been demolished to make way for commercial shopping plaza.
