5/ 5

This is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque locations in Northern Pakistan. Fair meadows (Nanga Parbat Base Camp) is one of the most beautiful place on the earth in front of Killer Mountain Nanga Parbat You can access this base camp thru 2-hours jeep travel and 5-hours hiking track. It requires a high level of physical fitness as you'll be hiking along mountainous routes to get to your desired destination. For an average person, it takes about 5 hours to get to the Base Camp from Fairy Meadows. But once you're there, it is worth all the strenuous walk that you have to endure along the way. My advice is that you travel with a licensed travel tour company and tag along a bunch of your friends with you. The more, the merrier. And it is ideal to have a local guide along to accompany you as they are familiar with the terrain and serve as a valuable asset to those on their first hiking experience. And trust me, there will be points along the way where you'll want those guides next to you:)  But apart from all the physical toil, if you manage to make it to Base Camp, it will be stay with you as one of the most memorable experiences of your life. I can vouch for that.

5/ 5

The Base Camp provides brilliant views of Nanga Parbat and the surrounding terrain. The eight-thousander mountains are the dream of any mountaineer in the world. The best thing about the Nanga Parbat Base Camp is its accessibility to even amateur hikers, as long as they are passionate enough about going there and are physically fit. This is the route we took to go from Fairy Meadows to the Base Camp: 1. Set off from Fairy Meadows in the morning and head towards Beyal Camp. Keeping your bag light but with all the essentials will be of much benefit. Having a guide with you is very helpful for the whole journey towards BC. It took us about 3 hours to walk from Fairy Meadows to Beyal Camp. The trail is just beautiful, of moderate difficulty and there is also the option of riding a horse till Beyal Camp. 2. Spend the night at Beyal Camp and enjoy the peace there. 3. Lighten your bags further by removing extra things. Get ready to head to Base Camp very early in the morning (6 or 7am). You can hike or ride a horse till the Zero Point (around 30 minutes horse ride). 4. From the Zero Point, you will trek towards the BC through an interesting terrain. It took us about 4 hours to reach BC. It's important to be focused on the track while you walk, as the track is narrow. You'll be glad you made it when the beautiful scenes welcome you! Enjoy appreciating the amazing beauty Allah created here, have some tea and capture photos. Have a little rest there to freshen up for the journey back. 5. Head back by 2 or 3pm so thay you can reach Beyal Camp on time. And if you want, you can reach Fairy Meadows the same day too. Have a great trip in-Shaa-Allah!

It is very scenic meadow between glaciers of Nanga Parbat. It provides space for setting up the Base Camp for expedition to Nanga Parbat from this face, the Rakhiot or Fairy Meadow face. Here is a memorial with plaques of Alfred Drexil died in 1934, Hermann Bhul who hit the peak in 1953 and Karl Unterkricher.
