At first I was impressed with the service I received when ordering my wedding and Mehndi dress. As I had ample time I agreed on the three month date given to me. Having looked at my dress on Whatsapp 4 months later I was told the dress will take 4 weeks to stitch as they have other orders and are busy. Again I agreed as I had a couple of months to the wedding. I arranged a Skype call for my sisters to choose their outfits but they did not find anything they liked and RANIA boutique were unable to design dresses they wanted so we kindly thanked them and informed them that we will get in touch once we have decided next steps. I then asked RANIA boutique to advise me of the measurements they need to stitch my wedding and Mehndi dress and I was told that they are unable to stitch it because they have just accepted an order for 41 dresses therefore their tailor is busy!!!! Had I known this 4 months ago when I gave my order I would not have chosen to have my clothes designed by RANIA. My dress is not a standard design, therefore I am not happy about taking the risk of getting it stitched from someone other than who designed it as the designer understands the flow of my dress. I explained this to RANIA but it seems they only want to keep potential customers happy and forget the commitment they have to current customers who are awaiting their clothes. They say it's not about the money but if it wasn't they would have given this other customer of 41 dresses a more suitable timescale based on ther availability and other commitments. They are making all sorts of claims that they had no commitment to stitch my dress but is it not a common sensical expectation of a customer who is having their wedding dress designed by you??? How many customers do you know of that have their dresses stitched from a different tailor to the one who designed it and if that is the case the discussion should be had upfront - after all you are the experts. I trusted you would tell me explicitly if you were unable to complete my dress to a wearable standard. I don't design or tailor clothes and expect that when I visit a store to buy my wedding dress, I will receive a complete wedding dress by the end of the transaction. Appalling! I now understand the cynicism I was faced with by family and friends when I told them I was trusting a store in Pakistan to create the dress for my special day - disappointment prevails!
