I've worked with Ravine for over two years, always dealing with issues like wrong colors, constant minor and some major errors and overall extreme imprecision. Constant overview was required, which supposed a lot of stress and extra costs for inspections. Deliveries were also another big issue. One time we had to wait two months more than expected, because the guys send it twice to the wrong address! They were about to send it again to the same wrong address if it was not the fact that by chance we have checked just before departure. Surreal! Tracking numbers did not work in any of orders. We had to spend hours of uncountable phone calls to very unclear London based forwarders and many days stucked at the warehouse, waiting for a delivery that never arrives. A nightmare! Nevertheless, we thought we'd realize how to deal with these procedures and somehow we managed to established a minimum workflow for a short time. When we had some acceptable articles and we were quite happy and started working in bigger projects, was when they demanded extra prices. That was tricky: they increased prices increasing the shipping costs massively, claiming they don't have any control upon. That was very very treacherous from Ravine and we were very disappointed with this procedure. Slowly I've realized all the time spent was lost and this was not the long-term provider we were looking for. Our last import with these guys was when I decided that enough is enough! Once the goods were manufactured and everything was ok and ready to ship, they simply demanded a surcharge of 863€ (they tried 1,000€) for a sea freight that they claimed was due the Covid-19 measures. So, the initial quotation that included already air delivery was now changed to sea freight and with such an extra charge. We had no choice: we had deadlines to accomplish with clients and we had to pay this amount in order to the goods were shipped. With this we were promised that all charges would be paid by Ravine until delivery. Once the goods arrived, we had an invoice of 915€ to pay to the agent: 411€ for VAT (is not a problem) and 504€ for local costs that we already paid (extra) to the provider! We had again no choice rather than pay it to the local agent in Germany, plus extra storage costs or we couldn't withdraw the goods. We tried to get this amount back from Ravine in accordance to the deal, but they simply washed their hands and push the responsibilities to their agent in Pakistan. We never dealt with their agent, so Ravine was the only responsible counterpart. In other words, we were charged almost extra 1,400€ for an order that initially included air shipping and ended up sent by sea. What normally would have costed us 3.500€ we had to pay almost 4.900€ (plus VAT) with a long delay regarding the original schedule. After many tries to call and have a reasonable explanation and have the extra money we paid in Germany back, Ravine's owner just did not answered our questions and put the money in his pocket. Even asked why were missing five (5) pieces from the order, they did not answered us. Was not a big deal, but showed how unprofessional they ended up, very different of their nice behavior before having the money. I do not have any personal issue with them (the owner was always very nice on the telephone, but ended up being very deceitful). I just want to avoid that any one goes through similar situation. Working with this company has costed us a lot of time, money, stress and headaches. If I knew it in advance, I certainly would have search very carefully for another provider.
