Rooms are good. Floor carpet and washroom walls give quite an old looks. Swimming pool side is fabulous.however food taste is below average.we stayed there for a conference and what I remember is they offered the same remaining meal at dinner what was left at lunch

It was the night of 19th Dec 2017. We three were traveling to Karachi for an office assignment. The Hotel Management confirmed booking at 1230 PM. We reached the Hotel Reception after travelling from Lahore at 0930 PM. The reception surprised us by telling that the rooms are being cleaned, and we have to wait in the lobby. We raised a polite protest but the Hotel Reception turned a deaf ear to our concerns. We kept on protesting that what would they have done if we had reached there earlier. However, the Hotel Reception remained indifferent. It was very strange that they avoided to offer the complimentary welcome drinks to us despite having being reminded for the same.

After the massive fire swept through and closed the hotel last year, it was assumed that after the renovations it would be better. But it wasn't as a matter of fact it was terrible. The breakfast was so bad I choose not to even try it. The bread was stale and smelly. The bad and rusty smell starts as soon as you get into the elevator and the same is in your room. I would suggest to avoid the Regent Plaza Hotel at any cost and stay in a guest house.
