Previously famous as Hockey Stadium.You can never see hockey played over here rather always full of water .some people use it for early morning exercises and physical fitness.Politicians use it for their mass power shows and conventions.The square in front of it was previously called Hockey chowk but recently renamed as EDHI CHOWK.But still the new name is not popular and has not replaced the old name in the minds of local people.

It's a historical stadium for the people of Quetta and it is a donation for the people of Quetta by Sadiq Kasi shaheed whose family's contributions are very much in the way of people of Quetta and Quetta have just 2 stadiums 1 of them is Sadiq Kasi shaheed stadium
