Positives: The hosts are very welcoming & warm. The sheets & beds are comfy. Hot water was available almost all the time. Extra: I got food poisoning on my last day of trip. The hosts went out of their way to care for me, taking me to the hospital & making many flexibilities to their policies to ensure my safe return home. Negatives: The food has hygiene problems. Houseflies are a big problem flying around on cleaned plates or food. The bathrooms need some plumbing (water leakages). It would be helpful if the rooms had wall clocks.

The hotel is located in central city and the route to each trip was convenient. We booked five rooms for seven days in Block A and the hotel owner generously gave us very good hotel rates. He was also kind enough to help us in one of our personal trip to nearby Bazar. The hotel has lush green gardens, fully loaded with apple and various other trees that gives a soothing and peaceful feeling. We all enjoyed sitting there after our tiring trips and felt relaxed. The hotel also had their transport service which is almost at the same price as others. However, you should be aware of market prices to negotiate good rates. Improvements needed: The renovation of all the washrooms should be done and carpets should be changed. Rooms has no mirrors, the dusting and cleaning each days needs to be requested frequently specially for the washrooms. The kitchen prices should be reviewed as it had excessive prices for which we used nearby hotels. They also refused to even serve breakfast in the room with sleeping kids which was not expected at all. Overall, i would rate our stay as 4/5 and is recommended for everyone visiting Skardu if the above can be individually adjusted.
