A well planned and beautifully built public university on the outskirts of Gujrat city where sizeable student with high ratio of girls are studying various humanities and science subjects. It has developed into a good public sector university pretty quickly and attracting students from all over the country.

The University of Gujrat is one of the new major public sector universities in Punjab. It was established under Act IX of 2004 by Government of Punjab, Pakistan on 23 February 2004. A place at the centre of it all! A public sector project successfully up and running, the University of Gujrat (UOG) reflects the upshot of the Punjab government’s efforts to meet the learning needs of peripheral areas of Gujrat: Gujranwala, Kharian, Sialkot, Wazirabad, etc. The University’s main campus is very attractive and has a brand new building with all the basic amenities.
