At the time of partition, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had landed here in 1947. Prior to the establishment of a new airport in the 1960s, Walton served as Lahore’s main airport.

Walton Airport is situated near Model Town. It caters to general aviation and facilitates several flying clubs. It's Lahore oldest Airport build 103 years ago, Head out for a beautiful and scenic aerial joyride around Lahore in an aircraft and get your adventurous photographic which is closed currently. Lahore's main airport is Allama Iqbal International Airport.
