It's a well organized setup. Various services including international driving licence, domicile and arms licences are issued.

I’m an AJK resident. And to obtain an International driving Permit, I must provide following documents: Copy of ID card Copy of Passport Copy of Visa Copy of Driving License And If I’m not living in Islamabad, I must produce a friend/relative living in Islamabad, get him to sign an affidavit stating that I’m living with him(ID card copy and presence of Card holder is required) and then his/her address would be written on my International driving permit. AND if you don’t have a relative/friend living in Islamabad, legal process states that U can’t get an International Driving Permit. The dodgy ways include paying 2000 to the guys who would provide their Islamabad address ID or a fake Affidavit form. International driving permits are issued based on Vienna convention signed in 1968 and our AJK government still doesn’t have a system to issue a driving permit and we are sent to Islamabad to get insulted. The staff at this facility is professional, courteous and helpful though. My experience was great but I’m very upset with the AJK government for not having a system in place to issue IDP. This is very unfortunate that even after 70 years of so called independence, we still done have a reliable system to get very simple things done! Fee: 350 PKR for normal processing (Takes 7 days) 1050 PKR for urgent processing (Printed right away)

A very nice and. Comfortable environment for issuance of International Driving License, Domicile and Arms license without any hassle. Just bring along required documents and process would be extremely swift.

Good place and nice staff. However, quite a few counters were closed due to under repair computer terminals.

You will get assistance but some management will not be very helpful and some management is very cooperative.. I have a good experience and one bad. So depends on people but Professional assistance is good.

It opens at 9 am. In Google I searched and it was showing it open at 7:45 am. First time I came here in the morning to get my international driver's license. They said I need visa and not invitation letter for visit abroad to get the international license. In the morning it was not very crowded and I didn't have to wait at all. They told me that I will be served right away next time I came. I will not even need appointment. Next time I came after around noon, after about a month of my first visit wth visa, it was very crowded. They took the documents needed but told me that I will get license next day because it was very crowded. Overall my experience was not bad. I got the service in time. I learnt that morning is the best time for better service. But make sure you have all documents and copies needed as currently there is one temporary photocopy shop which usually is very busy.

Cooperative staff. People should cooperate with them for smooth activities. Recruitment of transgenders in CFC is very good initiaative by the government and local authorities.
