Considering that now there are much better bookstores in town with better quality and choice of Books. This one has lost its charm

Recently furnished and updated as stationary plus books shop.

Not much variety of books and is expensive. They don't even offer due discounts on old shelf barren books covered in dust. Lack of urdu literature and technical books.

The place had a good selection of books especially political history books. The prices were higher than normal. I believe such books should be sold at a cheaper price if we want to contribute to the education of Pakistanis so that lower and lower middle class families can also afford these books. Prices of most books can't be controlled by the store but I expect the books published by Vanguard Books to be priced at a lower more affordable price. The place is very old and does not look like it has been renovated to properly cleaned in years. Most of the books were covered in dust and some had water damage to it. The employee did give me a discount on one of the damaged books I bought so that is nice. The place only accepts cash payments and does not provide receipts of purchase. The employee has a notebook where he hand writes the price and title of books being sold. Very old fashioned. There needs to be a computerized system so the employees can know what books they have available instead of having the customers go around looking for it themselves. Card payment should also be an option as not everyone carries cash with them. I would most definitely visit this store again for their selection of history books but hopefully they make some changes.
