The Glass Tower shopping area has a number of good shops inside, but, the general outlook is not inviting. The parking area, access and exit are cramped for space and manoeuvrability. It doesn't have any signs indicating the types of shops inside the building. Beggars posing as vendors, are a continuous nuisance. In the parked cars, they stick their noses to the window, and peep to scan inside. This is unnerving. Car parking is outsourced to usual uncouth contractors, who are least concerned with courtesy, and comfort of visitors. The parking area, the external area of the building, needs an awning, to provide necessary shade to the customers and cars, amidst rising temperatures of prolonged summers. Glass tower has a variety of cloth shops, hand (Dori work, appliques, embellished patchwork cushion covers etc) and machine embroidered linen, cushions and upholstery covers. Some of the best materials, linen and sofa accessories can be purchased here, at a reasonable price. Latest design upholstery,, curtain cloth etc is available, with ample variety. Shopping in winters is a breeze. But, in Summers it is a survival adventure.
