Rooftop balakhana offers the best local food in town. They sure take their time in preparing food (so order an hour in advance via phone) but it's worth the wait. It is simply the most delicious meal you will ever have. Don't forget to try their saag (spinach) and tandoori fish and of course one of the handi dishes : Mutton or Chicken handi. The beautiful view of Balahisar Fort is now unfortunately obscured by the monstrous concrete plazas that have mushroomed in the last few years. But the traditional music (rabab and mangai) makes up for that. All in all a 4.5/5 rating (Ali Jan)
