This course is about Human Resource Management (HRM) strategies, policies and practices.
If you complete the course successfully, you should be able to:
describe the relationship between HRM and organisational performance and be able to critically evaluate the empirical evidence critically evaluate alternative perspectives on HR practices
analyse the relationship between HR practices and their outcomes for the individual and organisation
evaluate the effectiveness of different HR practices
comment upon the limitations of the theories covered
The objective of this advanced course is to equip students with the knowledge required to make effective contributions at a strategic level in today’s rapidly changing organizations, both internally or as external consultants. Students are supposed to integrate the knowledge gained through previous coursework and experience and build on that conceptual foundation.
The Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM) course is designed to meet the need to formally focus our quality economic development on the period .
Successful organisations develop winning teams and the human resources function is at the heart of this. As a HR professional you will oversee a wide range of areas like recruitment, training, employee development and industrial relations.
The course will provide an overview of human resource management, with emphasis in human
resource planning and strategy, personnel selection, equal employment opportunity, training,
performance appraisal, compensation, and contemporary issues in organizational behavior.
The course has been developed for the student of general management whose job will involve
responsibility for managing people in a global environment.
After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

Analyze HRM situations and strategies to identify opportunities and threats to the organization.
Apply the principles and techniques of human resource management to the discussion of major HR issues and the solution of typical case problems.
Reflect on their personal experiences and observations regarding an HRM topic.
Produce a review paper on a specific topic in the HRM field.
