Refreshing place. Though it doesn't really fit the description of a garden, looks like there used to be a lot of trees before. Not much recreational activities so do your own thing. People are not much careful to the buildings, please be aware as this has been declared an archeological heritage site.

The Shalimar Gardens, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1641-2 is a Mughal garden, layering Persian influences over medieval Islamic garden traditions, and bearing witness to the apogee of Mughal artistic expression. A wonderful historical place to visit in Lahore. The Shalamar Gardens also known in English as the Shalimar Gardens, are a Mughal garden complex located in Lahore, capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab. It is an old Mughal Garden that has beautiful gardens filled with flowers, one of the most attractive archaeological sites of Lahore, Pakistan
