Also know as Gol Masjid. Constructed in 1969. With no pillars and one single huge dome. An architectural masterpiece.

Good work of architecture with one flaw. It gets suffocated when too much crowd. It needs proper air conditioning.

Mosque was actually closed for any visitors. They are not properly lighting up the mosque during prayer times as well. One bulb for complete mosque. Visited this place few days back, there should be proper prayer area for women as well. reason Unknown.

It is very beautiful, calm & quite worshipping place for Muslims.. It is also very good place for picnic, with whole family because of it's quite and safe family atmosphere... It is one of oldest historical, religious place, with unique structure,, it's Dome is the largest in the world.. and it could be consider as a modern wonder of the worlds.. because whole mosque body (structure) is based on its only Dome which is not only the Dome of the mosque, as is a traditional religious symbolic style for mosques in Indo- Pakistan, but the same Dome is the building (structure of the mosque).. It's construction was commenced in 1966 which was completed in 1969.. by McDonald Layton and Constain, Karachi... It's area is 5,570 square yards, whereas built up area is 35,312 square feet.. Diameter of Dome is 212 feet with 51.48 feet height, with Mirrors in Foam.. It contains 70,000 Concrete Tiles.. and 768,000 Onyx Pieces on the retaining walls.. It's Minaret is 120 feet high.. More than 43,000 persons can say prayers here.. 5,000 in the Dome, 38,000 in Terrace and Lawns ..
